Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

In short: DevCalc collects nothing. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no network code at all. It never connects to the internet, so no information about you can leave your device, neither to us nor to anyone else.

No data is collected

DevCalc collects no personal data whatsoever. There is no sign-up, no identifier, no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK. It asks for no permission: not your contacts, not your location, not your camera, not your microphone, not your photos. It does not display the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.

Your calculations stay on your iPhone

So that you find your work where you left it, DevCalc saves a few things in its own private storage on the device:

  • the active tab, display format and number of decimals;
  • your settings: appearance, separators, automatic reset delay, word size;
  • the calculation in progress and the contents of the ribbon.

These items never leave the device. They live in the application's private container, which iOS isolates from other applications, and they are permanently deleted when you delete DevCalc. Inside the application, the trash button clears the ribbon at any time.

No iCloud, no server, no synchronisation

DevCalc uses no iCloud service, no CloudKit database and no server of ours. There is nothing to synchronise, and therefore no copy of your data anywhere but on your iPhone.

When you share the ribbon

The DevCalc menu can hand the text of your ribbon to the standard iOS share sheet, so you can send it to Mail, Messages, Files or another application. That transfer happens only when you ask for it, you choose the destination, and what happens next is governed by the privacy policy of the application you picked. DevCalc neither reads nor retains the result.

What Apple sees

Downloads, purchases, crash reports and the usage statistics offered by the App Store and TestFlight are handled by Apple, not by us. We only ever see them aggregated and anonymous, and only if you have agreed to share them with developers in your iOS settings. Apple's practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

This website

devcalc.app is a static site. It sets no advertising cookie and embeds no third-party tracker. Like any web server, ours and our network provider (Cloudflare) record standard technical logs (IP address, date, page requested), kept briefly for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to identify visitors. Any audience measurement in place is self-hosted, cookie-free, and records no personal data.

Children

DevCalc is suitable for all ages. As no data is collected, no specific processing of children's data takes place.

Your rights

Data protection law (including the European GDPR) grants you rights of access, rectification and erasure over your personal data. Since DevCalc holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete: your data is already in your hands alone, on your device. If you have any doubt, write to us, we answer.

Changes to this policy

Should DevCalc ever gain a feature that changes any of the above, this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top will change accordingly.
